Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026.
Scope and contact
This policy covers CAPL Script, an independent CAPL learning and reference website. For privacy questions, email support@capl-script.com. Include the relevant page and your request, but do not send passwords, private vehicle logs or confidential project files.
Data used by this website
- Reading and search: You can read without registering. This website has no account registration, public comments or file-upload service. Search runs in your browser using an index downloaded from this website; our search code does not send your search terms to an external search provider.
- Local preferences: Your browser stores the selected light/dark theme and the last selected documentation navigation group in local storage. These preferences stay until you clear the site's browser data. They are not advertising profiles.
- Timing calculator: Pasted timestamps and selected local files are processed in the current page's memory. The calculator does not upload their contents or store them in URLs, cookies or local storage. Clearing the data or leaving the page clears the tool's retained input and results. Exported CSV files are downloaded to your device and remain there until you delete them.
- Website delivery: Loading pages sends requests to the hosting provider, which can receive your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time to deliver the site and support security and troubleshooting. We have not independently verified the hosting provider's log retention period.
- Code highlighting: Pages load Prism code-highlighting files from this website, without contacting an external code CDN. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy.
- Contact: If you email us, your email address and message are processed by the receiving email service and used to respond to your request or investigate a reported issue. Do not send information that is unnecessary for that purpose.
The current site templates do not load Google Analytics or the Google advertising script. A Google AdSense account meta tag and ads.txt record identify a publisher account for verification; these records do not themselves store advertising cookies.
Google advertising and third parties
If advertising is enabled in the future, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses, device/browser identifiers and ad interaction data to deliver, measure and protect advertising. Google's advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to select ads based on visits to this website and other websites. Data may be shared with service providers and advertising partners for these purposes, subject to the applicable settings and consent.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's advertising technologies. You can manage Google's personalized advertising through My Ad Center and review participating vendors' choices at AboutAds. Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies; this may affect website features and does not necessarily stop all advertising.
Consent and choices
Reading this policy or continuing to browse is not treated as consent to advertising cookies. Before serving ads in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, the site must provide the required choices through a Google-certified consent management platform. Advertising remains disabled in the current templates while that setup and the content review are pending. If advertising is enabled, this policy must be updated to describe the actual vendors and controls available, including a way to revisit consent choices.
Use Privacy settings to clear this site's theme and documentation navigation preferences, or use your browser's site-data settings. Clearing these preferences does not change advertising consent records or delete downloaded files or contact emails.
The European advertising choices control is on Privacy settings. It becomes available only when Google's consent controls have loaded and confirmed that they apply to the current visit. You still need to complete your choices in the displayed window. If controls are unavailable or fail, the site does not claim that consent has been withdrawn. Advertising is currently paused, and the page clearly states that the controls have not loaded.
For requests about a contact message, email the address above. We may need enough information to locate the message and verify the request. Applicable access, correction, deletion or objection rights depend on your location and the data involved.
Audience and changes
The content is intended for people learning automotive software testing, not as a service directed to children. We do not ask for precise location, payment details or sensitive personal information. Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date.
